New cocoa butter deodorizer for Malaysia

 
Guan Chong Cocoa Manufacturer Sdn Bhd reports to have selected the Desmet Ballestra Cobustrip  technology for its new cocoa butter deodorizing project.
 
Guan Chong Cocoa Manufacturer  plant was established in 1991 and currently has an annual production capacity of over 60,000 metric tonnes of cocoa beans, making it one of the largest manufacturer of cocoa derived food ingredients in Malaysia with customers all over the world.

The company Emek Yag reports to have selected the De Smet Qualistock technology
for its new deodorising line of 300 TPD.
 
Emek Yag also started up very recently the De Smet Sublimax Ice Condensing system for
its existing refinery located in Bursa (Turkey).

The company Oliefabriek Lichtervelde, located in Lichtervelde (Belgium) reports to have selected one Rosedowns Sterling prepress and 2 Rosedowns Sterling second presses for their new linseed processing plant.

New large refinery in Vietnam

The company TUONG AN VEGETABLE OIL JOINT STOCK COMPANY reports to have selected the Desmet Ballestra technologies for the implementation of its new refining project.



The project includes the supply of a 150 tpd neutralising line and a 600 tpd
physical refining plant.

TUONG AN VEGETABLE OIL is one of the largest refineries in Vietnam

Bunge Limited announced  plans to construct a sunflower seed crushing
and refining plant in Voronezh, Russia. It will be Bunge’s first plant in the country.

When completed in spring 2006, the facility will supply Bunge’s consumer bottled oil business in Russia, which is now primarily supplied by its facility in Ukraine. Bunge markets two bottled oil brands in Russia: Ideal™, a premium brand acquired in 2004, and Oleina™, an established and popular brand. With these two brands and its new facility, Bunge believes it is well positioned to increase its bottled oil sales to this important, yet regional and still fragmented, market.

The plant will be located approximately 375 miles south of Moscow. The large-scale facility will use world-class Desmet Ballestra technology, and have an annual crushing capacity of approximately 500,000 metric tons and an oil refining and bottling capacity of approximately 200,000 metric tons.

The students of the Keechankuppam School in the Nagapattinam District, victim of the Tsunami, are very happy to report having received new benches and desks for their classroom from Desmet Chemfood Pvt.

The company Aceitera General Deheza reports the installation
of a new De Smet Dimax DT with a processing capacity of 5.000 TPD soybean.

The Dimax DT installed can run to 6.000-7.000 TPD, and is the first of 4 Dimax DT installed
in the Mercosur with such a capacity and including all
the latest features in meal desolventizing.

The Daabon Group, located in Santa Marta (Colombia), selected the Desmet technologies for the implementing of their new organic palm oil refinery of large capacity.

The Daabon Group has been operating for 80 years, the last 10 of which have been dedicated to growing, pressing, and refining exclusively organic palm oil and its derivatives.

The company is known as a pioneer in the production of organic palm oil, and presently has the largest volume in Latin America. Strict quality control measures are in place and totally natural methods are used. Fertilizers such as molasses, yeast, and palm and animal by products are employed, ensuring that a fully organic palm is harvested, transported, mechanically pressed, sterilized, purified, and refined.

The plant, using selected technologies from world’s oils & fats specialist De Smet, will produce soybean meal for feed, soybean oil, soy flour and other refined products.

The sea terminal will be the first in Russia for loading high- melting oils such as palm and coconut, the spokeman said. These facilities will be built on the shore of the Kaliningrad canal, near the town of Volochayevskoye.
